Boudoir Photo Session Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How can I see your photography?
A: You can find my portfolio by accessing my Instagram (Photogenics.art) and here in my website portfolio where you can find examples of my works and testamonials.
Q: Can I drink during the session?
A: Yes, it's totally fine. If drinking makes you feel more comfortable, then by all means feel free. The most important thing is that you feel good, create great memories from the session, and love your body and yourself. This is the main goal of a boudoir session.
Q: What clothes should I bring to the session?
A: You should bring all your favorite, sexy clothes. If you have white, black, red lingerie and clothes, then it's a plus! When you book a session, we will have conversations and I will send pictures with many examples of clothes and poses to inspire your session.
Q: Is it a problem if I don't have sexy clothes or lingerie for the session?
A: No, it's not a problem at all. Boudoir can be explored in so many ways and poses. You can wear clothes, underwear, lingerie, a towel, or go semi-nude or nude and we can get great results.
Q: Will there be someone else to work on the shoot besides the model and photographer?
A: No, in general it's just the model and photographer. A third person can be there if the model wishes to hire a makeup artist or bring a partner to participate or watch the session, or for comfort.
Q: Can the photos be a combination using clothes, lingerie, underwear and completely nude?
A: Yes, you can go to the limit of exploring your body as much as you want. You can be naked or not. You decide how far you want to go. Usually those who do a boudoir session do all the poses, but it's always up to you to decide what you're comfortable with. The photographer can guide and give suggestions throughout the session.
Q: Is it ok if a friend comes with me to see the session?
A: Yes, it's totally ok and happens quite frequently. You can bring a friend, your partner, or anyone that makes you feel more comfortable if you like.
Q: Can I do a session with my boyfriend, friend, or group of friends?
A: Yes, the sessions can be done with multiple people and can be done at the same time or separately.
Q: What time is better for the session?
A: It will depend on you but morning light is usually the best. Night can be better depending on the concept; the colors become more beautiful during gold hour. Sunrise and sunset are great if the location lends itself to this kind of light.
Q: Do you only take pictures of slim female models?
A: I have done boudoir sessions with all shapes, sizes, colors and ages and all are welcome, including couples. Boudoir does not have any restrictions to body type, age or appearance.
Q: How long does a boudoir photo session take?
A: The short answer is as long as it takes. The long answer is it could take a few hours or all day. If the photo session takes place in a private location like a house or apartment, it can be completed in one day, morning to evening. If it takes place in a hotel, resort or a location with check-in and check-out times, then we can start around 1 hour after check-in and finish around 2 hours before check- out. We can divide the day into 3 different times to capture photos at afternoon, sunset, evening or early morning. The best results are attained when there is no hurry so schedule some time.
Q: Where will my photos be shared?
A: The pictures are shared only with you and, if you permit it, the photographer will keep some of them in his work portfolio. They will not be shared with anyone else as this is art between photographer and client. They will only be shared if previously authorized. If you choose to keep the photo session l00% private, and many do, your decision will be honoerd.
